PHS $100K for 100 Years

Dear Provo High Alumnus/Booster/Friend:

This year at Provo High, we're celebrating our centennial anniversary. That's right. One hundred years ago, in 1912, Provo High was first accredited as a high school. In order to honor our proud history and lay the foundation for a great next century, we're embarking on a unique fundraising campaign we have dubbed "100K for 100 Years." We plan to raise one hundred thousand dollars this year to improve physical facilities across campus, but we're putting a twist on things by focusing on three areas during our campaign: raising money, strengthening ties with our community and alumni, and service learning.

In connection with our faculty, staff, and student government, the Provo High administration is putting together a series of four fundraising events that we believe will address all three of these areas. These events include an all-school dance, a cultural night, a talent night, and a charity bike ride. For each of these events, we will open our doors to Provo City and our alumni by inviting you in to see what we're doing here at Provo High and by asking you to celebrate with us. We want our community to be welcome here and to join with us in making Provo High the best high school in Utah. Prior to each fundraising event, the student body will participate in a service project in the community - our way of giving back and saying thanks.

We hope, by engaging in this ambitious and unique fundraising effort, to make Provo High better, to make Provo City better, to strengthen our bond with our community and alumni, and to teach our students the importance of giving back. We're excited about the journey we're embarking on and we invite you to come along for the ride. Together we can do great things this year! "100K for 100 Years" - a better Provo High, a better Provo City, a better us.

Best regards,

Kyle D. Bates
Assistant Principal

You can donate now through August 28th by clicking the "Donate" button on the sidebar.

As we mentioned at the reunion dinner, we would like to get together a large donation as our gift to PHS to get them going on their fundraising campaign this year. We've got $300 so far, and would like to present the school with at least a $1000 donation. Please donate! If everyone who reads the message we are sending out via email donates $20, we will be able to donate over $4500 to them. Please be a part of this donation!

Thanks,
Reunion Planning Committee
