David Chad Mortensen

David Mortensen Jun. 28, 1972 ~ Jul. 19, 2013 Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend was tragically taken from us on July 19, 2013, doing what he loved, helping others.
Chad was born on June 28, 1972, to David and Paula Mortensen in Price, Utah. He was 41 years old. He married Vivian Lorraine Adams on July 11, 1997. Together they have four children: Skyler, Duncan, KayCee and Dylan, and a special daughter, Kelly Hall.
Chad was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Dallas Fort Worth Mission. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and learning karate at Five Star Karate. He is survived by his parents David and Paula Mortensen and David M. and Shirley Adams; brothers Justin (Loralee) and Wade; sister Angel; grandmother Leah James and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lars and Joyce Mortensen; grandfather Glen L. James; grandfather John Quincy Adams; aunt Lisa Wilde and nephew Baily Levi Mortensen.
The family would like to thank the officers, EMT's and all personnel involved in his aid.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East, Lehi, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon prior to services at the cemetery. Condolences may be emailed to info@bergmortuary.com.
