Our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle David Carl Nielsen, 41, passed away suddenly on August 13, 2013 in Provo.
He was born on May 4, 197 to the Ruth Hardy Nielsen and the late Carl Nilsen. He grew up in Provo and attended Dixon Middle School and Provo High School.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout and served a mission in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. He had a love for the open road and became a truck driver, following in the footstep of his dad. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed talking about sports any chance he could. He loved to play video games and listen to country music.
David is survived by his mother, Ruth Hardy Nielsen; and sister, Diana (Paul) Hawes; niece Sadie; grandmother, Ida Beardall Hardy; aunts, Linda Hardy, Joan (Brent) Kilcrease; cousins, Mark (teresa), Justin (Heather), and Kevin Kilcrease. He was preceded in death by his brother, John and father Carl.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 17th, 2013 at the Sunset 5th Ward Building located at 1402 S. 570 W., Provo. there will be a viewing held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville on Friday August 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
